\n About Stephanie Diani
\nStephanie Diani grew up wanting to be Indiana Jones, and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Classical Archaeology from UC Santa Barbara — only to realize her true passion was photography.\n
A self-taught photographer, she began her career as a staff photographer for California newspapers and later as a West Coast freelancer for The New York Times. As assignments with celebrities increased, so did her reputation as a photographer who understands the idiosyncrasies of the entertainment industry and the collaborative demands of high-level productions.\n
Equally adept at capturing the quirky and the dramatic, Steph creates a safe, relaxed environment on set. Her ability to quickly establish trust allows subjects to feel comfortable in front of the camera — resulting in imagery that feels authentic, cinematic, and alive.\n
Her work spans advertising campaigns, editorial portraiture, commercial assignments, and celebrity photography. Whether working in her boutique Chelsea studio or on location nationwide, she brings creative vision, technical precision, and calm leadership to every production.\n
She has scuba dived in Fiji and Belize, zip-lined in Hawaii, jumped out of an airplane, earned a black belt in Korean karate, taken trapeze and fencing, studied Latin, Spanish, French and Italian, bumped into Mr. T in Whole Foods, and been swept off her feet by Fabio.\n
She curates groovy Spotify playlists, believes photoshoots should be fun, and is exceptionally good with wardrobe clips — while also keeping every project on the rails and on budget.\n
When not holding a camera, she is usually trying to tire out her Shiba Inu pup (Nero Rome Burns-Diani), cycling, reading, streaming, or cooking.\n
