Stephanie was born in southern California in 1970. (She has never surfed, been a valley girl nor had blond hair.) She earned a BA in Classical Archaeology at the University of California, Santa Barbara before moving to Los Angeles to work for a newspaper. In the fall of 2000 she began her career as a freelance photographer. Her work has been featured in solo and group shows in Los Angeles and New York, as well as in the Graphis Photo Annual 2006 & 2007. She lives with her husband Tim, their dog Cosmo, and their two cats, Wanda and Weegee.

Her editorial clients include TIME, US News, Getty Images, Ad Age, Forbes, The New York Times, Newsweek, The Chicago Tribune and Ode Magazine. Her commercial clients include UCLA Communications, CREO Capital, Analytic Investors, Pratt Institute, Georgia Tech University, The Discovery Channel, A&E Television, AOL Music and Childrens Hospital L.A.
